How it works

From order to adventure in 4 simple steps

Every purchase is delivered as a PDF eBook by email. You can print the full book and bring it on your trip, or keep a digital copy on a tablet as backup.

This is a digital book, not a shipped product

Puddle Jump books are personalized PDF eBooks. Nothing is mailed physically. After generation, parents can print the book at home, print it at a copy shop, or keep it on an iPad/tablet for backup.

1) Build your book

Pick your destination, add your travelers, and choose the activities your family wants in the book.

2) Receive your PDF by email

Your personalized book is delivered digitally as a PDF eBook. No physical shipment is involved.

3) Print the full book

Most families print the complete book in one go at home or at a local print shop before the trip.

4) Use it on your trip

Bring it along for road trips, flights, downtime, and destination exploring with less screen time.

Why we built it this way

The idea came from two very simple travel memories: kids getting excited about national park activity books, and the feeling of reading a guidebook before wandering through a new city. A good trip book gives children a role in the adventure instead of leaving them as passengers.

More exploring, fewer default screens

Many pediatric and child-development recommendations point parents toward balancing recreational screen time with offline play, sleep, movement, and family connection. Travel is a perfect moment for that: noticing places, asking questions, drawing what you saw, and connecting with the people you came with.

🖨️ Printing tips for parents

  • Print double-sided to reduce bulk and make the book easier to carry.
  • Use a color cover and grayscale inside pages for a good quality/cost balance.
  • Choose thicker paper (24 lb / 90 gsm+) so markers and pens do not bleed through as much.
  • If using a copy shop, request saddle-stitch or spiral binding so pages stay together on the trip.
